I just got this 2007 LBZ crew 4wd and it has 285 Dunlop Rover Radials ...
pretty stiff, even at 55psi ... and get this, the speedo is off by 6 to 8 % (reads 50 is really 53, reads 55 is really 59). The 'really' numbers are from my Garmin which was 'right on' in a previous truck.

I thought maybe the computer was still set for 245's, but I had Chevy check the ECM ... it was already set to 285!!??

But with the stiff ride and the 2" added height, my short complaining wife :rof is wanting to go to the original 245's. I have no idea what the ECM will do with these but it will be interesting.

Any one want an almost new set of Dunlop 285/75r16 's ?

Have you talked to your local tire dealer? They maybe able to work you out a deal, I know discount tire used to offer a trade in, I feel the 245's are to small and am not sure what kind of driving you do but I would def. look in to a Michelin LTX M/S 265' and go with the happy medium

I have 265-75R16's on the both of my trucks. GF complained on both for entry and exit before I put on the nerf bars.

I agree that the 245's look small. As for ride, I am currently running 55 front and 52 rear (thinking about dropping rear to 49). With that wide of a tire, you may need to drop the front down to about 52 and the rears to about 45. A little pressure decrease makes the ride a lot smoother.

Higher tire pressure is good for mileage, but you loose traction if the tires are not loaded up enough. What does the tread pattern look like at the edged and the center? This will tell you if you need to go up or down in tire pressure.
