LBZ: dually rear axle

Anyone know the difference between SRW and DRW axle widths my friend is trying to change his 05 3500 dually to single rear wheel I know we could swap out axles but could he use his and run regular rims and take off the front extending hub on the front?

A dually axle is wider than a srw by a couple inches at least.

It is wider the shafts are longer and the tubing wall thickness is I believe 1/2 vs 1/4 on srw

How much wider is a dually axle? A lot of people run 2inch wheel spacers in the rear to make it match the front stance. That is 2 inches on each side extra

for some reason it matches with a 1/2 spacer i gave him my weld rims and afew parts and some cash for his aluminum flatbed so its a decent deal for me I have a dually bed with a cracked left fender that's why i am doing this project so its a win win i hope
