Here is my question. I curently have an Edge Evo in my truck and I use it for gauges as well. But I also have an Edge Insight out of my old truck just sitting around. Can I use one of these cables and use both devices at the same time? That way I can have eight gauges at once... Just cause I like gauges. lol. But will it work? Can two interfases communicate with the ECM at the same time? Thanks

I tried a splitter from Amazon.com to run my CTS while logging and whatever was 2nd to be hooked up wouldn't connect to the vehicle.

You can have multiple ports, but the problem is all the scan tools "advertise" themselves with the same ID (everything on the network has an ID which is pretty much an address) on the network, so you can only have one connected at a time. I had asked edge about running an insight and logging with EFILive at the same time, and that was pretty much their response (as I suspected it would be). The only real advantage to having a second OBD-II port would be to have one on the passenger sidde so you don't have to have cables draped over the steering wheel and such.
