I put dual fuelers on my lbz and I have been chasing leaks since I put it on. I bought a used kit and some of the lines were junk. I think I fixed them all but now it is leaking out of the fuel rail where the stock fprv hose was. I didn't receive a cap with my kit so I just used a hose with a bolt in the end, and it blew a hole in the hose. why would it be leaking out of there? I tightened the new fitting on the rail as much as I could. just looking for some quit help so I can pull. and could someone post a picture of the cap the ppe gives with it

There should be no fuel coming out of that barb after you install the new fitting in the back of the rail, no cap is necessary unless you just want to keep dirt from getting in there. You need to tighten the fitting more. Also, if you put an o-ring on that fitting, remove it.

Who's kit is it? But like josh said no o ring goes on the rail fitting. If it's a PPE kit and your using that fuel block that connects the lines from cp3 to back of rail do you have a actual race plug in it or a stock or shimmed one? Also that plug needs to be tq'd to 65ftlbs and have an o ring on it. I tq'd mine by holding It in a vice.

So there should be no o ring on the fitting, but one should be on the race valve in the block.

The fitting that goes in the back of the rail on a dual CP3 kit does not get an o-ring but a race valve does.

I just installed my cp3's, and couldn't tighten it enough to stop it leaking. Like I had a ratchet on it and the wrench eventually started stripping the head. I ended up putting an O ring on it hoping it wouldn't be a problem. What happens if there is an O ring on the fitting?

Did you check if there was any grit in the threads? May be preventing it from seating, which is what the oring will do and allow fuel to enter the return port, which should be plugged anyways with a cap. I used a piece of hose with a bolt in it, the pressure could be enough to blow the cap off if fuel is able to access it.

I bought a brand new ppe kit and i had to put an oring on the fitting in the rail to keep it from leaking. I have no oring on the FPRV in the block and i have zero leaks now. Been on since April and it hasn't leaked a drop since.

although ppe claims no oring is supposed to be used on the rail fitting...I couldnt get mine to stop leaking from the barbed fitting without one no matter how much I tightened it.

thanks for the help guys. I should have tore apart before I posted. I thought for sure I didn't and an o ring on the fitting, because i still had the stock one on the fprv, but there mustve been one on there when i received because it had one on. i took it off and no leaks. makes me feel stupid but at least its fixed. thanks for the help. cknight, maybe trying backing it out and putting in on again just in case you got something in the threads, i had to do that with one of my lines
