LB7: Dual CP3 Problems

Alright I am having an issue with my dual CP3's after a shop recently jump started my truck after they drained the battery. They fried my first controller so I bought a new one with two new regulators. It will run fine for a minute and then the regulators go wide open and rail pressure maxes out. I have replaced the ECM with no luck.

Does the FICM have any control over this?

The truck will run just fine with the one pump in the valley so currently the second CP3 is on the shelve for now.

I would check the controller. If it runs fine with a single cp3 the computer seems to being sending the right signal.

Which controller are you using? FICM does not control pressures at all.

I had the same intermittent issue with mine...would run fine then go to max rail. If I turned it off and restarted it worked fine. I took the harness off and cleaned all the connections really well then checked all the plugs from the harmess. Mine is great now.

Sounds like you have a problem somewhere, could be connections, ground or wires in the harness or controller themselves. Whos controller tho?

It is one of Fingers controllers. I'll see if I can barrow a buddies that has one from PPE I think.

Check the fuse holder on that controller. I had somewhat of the same problem and it ended up being the fuse holder.

Good to know I will check into that if my buddies controller works on my truck.

If you are still having problems, return the controller to me for a replacement with a later rev design.
