Had it in my truck for about two months now. Awesome piece. Fit great and made a pretty big difference in both cruising and wide open throttle charge air temps. couldn't be happier with mine.

Every unit is hand fabricated and individually pressure tested to 150 psi before being shipped out. The large end tanks have been reinforced with the external straps in precise locations to ensure that blown end tanks and split seams will never be an issue. What you can’t see is the additional bracing on the inside of end tanks that not only add additional strength but also help direct airflow through the core of the intercooler, making easier, clearer path for your charged air to pass through.
The inlet and outlets have been constructed a little differently than the stock unit to help prevent blown boots. The longer outlet and large lip on the end allow for more surface area for the boot to grab onto. This also means that less boot will be exposed to the boost pressure, so boots splitting under extreme pressure will be reduced, as well.
The DTS Intercooler is 3.5 inches taller than stock and .75 inches thicker than stock, but is still a drop in replacement.


Also Diesel World did a full test in the Dec 2012 issue with real time specs.

David the quickest truck in the country runs the CG&J intercooler so they cant be that bad. That happens to be Stuckey's truck.


Yea but some of the fastest trucks run stock intercoolers and some run Davids intercoolers, i'm not sure what that has to do with anything? Hes asking for realtime info about it, and if they make a difference and maybe he wanted to support a vendor on this forum.

At cruise my post cooler charge temps are down 8-degrees, that equated to a drop of 80-degrees in egt's. Accelerating at 10-psi boost post charge temps went from 113 stock to 102 with the DTS. At wide open throttle charge temps are down from 130 to 101. EGT's at wide open throttle are down over 150-degrees.

This is with stock injectors, stock turbo and stock CP3. I think the gains with the DTS would be even bigger in a highly modified truck running higher boost pressures and a higher volume of air through the cooler.

I don't believe some of the fastest run stock inter coolers. If they do its doesn't last very long before the go kaboom. There are trucks running all aftermarket brands. How the inter cooler exchanges the heat and pressure drips would help determined e the best out there but nobody has that information. In general welded aluminum end tanks do not hold up well. David did go the extra step to address that with his inter cooler. Others have done the same with the Spearco intercooler. I will not run one of those again. It did crack. It occurred on the weld itself so there was some unaccounted for flex somewhere. I realize everyone has their own opinion. I took it as the post I responded to was saying CG&J inter coolers were inferior to Davids and that's not opinion based on design and cost

If you have data on your current charge air temps and egts I will offer you a holiday deal to generate the comparison between what you have currently and our cooler difference.

Do you have any info for a CGJ vs your intercooler? just curious cause its always nice to have facts :D. There is also two different CGJ intercoolers for our trucks too from what ive found

As a Spearco not yours. They are built very similar. I was speaking of welded aluminum end tanks. I have not ran one of yours as you already know that. I do run the CG&J and it does an excellent job. I am not pushing any intercooler but I do highly recommend staying away from Spearco.
