I need a little help diagnosing what is going on since I had my truck all apart. I have no speedo, and it doesnt act like it is going into OD. My codes:
P0234-Overboost--I never even got on it, dont know why this comes up
P0500-Vehicle speed sensor--prolly why I have no speedo
P0700-TCM requested MIL
P1860-TCC PWM solenoid circuit

Any ideas what to look for? I have all my sensors plugged in, and I double checked them. Can the 2 on top of the tranny be switched? I thought most plugs only fit into one spot?
I have no copilot controller plugged in right now. I assume the tranny should work normally without it (just like it being turned off) but maybe not?
I also wired in OD lockout, Dsp2 and Dsp5. Could I have effed something up installing one of those? Can you run your normal tune with the dsp2+5 switches installed (I put the switches in but have yet to change my tune).

I tried pushing the OD lockout switch a couple of times but nothing happened. I also did the same with the dsp2 switch and the dsp5.

I hope I put this in the right place and I hope someone can help me or lead me in the right direction anyway!
Thanks!

You can have the dsp switches wired and run just a single tune, they dont become active until you flash the new dsp operating system. As far as the trans codes, better let someone with experience answer that one. I have had the overboost code before, but it was when I was using the bullydog and it was a one time thing. You might eliminate the OD lockout wiring and see if that takes away the trans codes, thats a good starting point anyway.

OK, so I went to that other site and did some looking around for what MikeL had said about these before.
"You either have a bad TCC solenoid or a bad wire going to it. I vote wire. In the TCM Red connecter, it will be the green wire with white tracer. P1860 is the same as P0743."

"The code is a torque converter code.(1860) Code should be cleared and truck should then be road tested with scanner hooked up. A data stream should be read on the converter clutch application. You will want to see % of apply ( normaly I see 96 to 97 % apply) and then below that you will want to see slippage in rpms. I like to get the Ally into 5th gear, converter clutch applyed. Watch the rpm slippage at steady throttle ( anything over 50 rpm is not acceptable) then give a some part throttle and watch rpm slippage. If slippage increases, you need a converter, and probably a stator bushing in pump cover."

I'm going to start with lookin in my TCM harnesses tonight, wish me luck. Can EFI monitor the convertor clutch application like Mike stated above? How would I go about doing that?
Any one of you mods can move this to Mike's Pen if you feel it should be there.
Thanks,

Mike L.

The input speed sensor ( bellhousing ) connector should point at 4 oclock and the turbine sensor ( middle of case ) at 3 oclock. They can be crossed. I would check into the p500 code as that can cause your problem. Sorry but my tech stuff is at the shop. Do you have the oem harness installed on the Alli? You should since you don't have the copilot. Are you sure all your solenoids are connected inside the pan?

There was a farmer who had a dog and BINGO was his name!
I looked back in my TCM wiring and took some notes. Coming out of my C1 (gray) connector there is a yellow wire that is spliced in to. Brown wire going out, Yellow coming back. Looked up my Co-pilot instructions when I got home and in the install notes:"Orange Wire and brown wire-vehicle speed sensor input/output"
I'm gonna bypass that connection and put it back to stock and see what I get, but I bet its it. Especially now after reading MikeL's post.

Mike, if I hook this wire back up will I be ok running the rest of the harness? Where is the OEM harness compared to the Co-pilot harness? I know all my solenoids were connected b/c I checked them all twice before I put the pan on.

Also, I've never paid a whole lot of attention before, but with 35" tires, what should I be running for RPM at say 60-65mph? Today it seemed around 17-1800 rpm.

Putting the wires together fixed my speedo problem. I am still getting the 0700 and 1860 codes about every other startup though. I still think the missing co-pilot is messin with me.
