Correction... Some DSP5 switches for 01-05 LB7 and LLY go in a clock wise position from left to right for switching from 1st tune to 5th tune... 06-10 LBZ and LMM go in a counter clock wise position from right to left for switching from 1st tune to 5th tune... Besides that they are simular in size, shape, color and what not just make sure you get the 1 specific for your application...

Increasing your tune size wether you turn it clockwise or counter clockwise depends on which side you run your continuious wire across the switch pins; year doesn't mater.

When I built mine I could have made it go clock or counter clockwise.

How exactly? Arent the 2 wires off the switch 1 for continuous power and the other ground? No real way to switch unless your talking about the wires on the actual internals of the switch itsself?

They are not all the same, some are made with a little thicker wiring which tends to not break the pins off as easily. I had a bad batch of switches recently where 5 of the 10 I sent out broke pins. I changed back to the switches I had been using and they are much better quality.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I traded my truck in and had a local guy that wants my switch but has a 02, I figured it was just the pins and knew you could change which tune was where with the voltages, but wanted to check about the actual voltage drop across the switch.

A lot of tuners use the LLY pins in everything. It works yes, but it is not the correct pin for the ECM. I only use the OEM style pins when I send out DSP switches. Yes its a little more of a pain to have stock of 3 different switchpin styles, but I sleep better knowing that the pins are absolutely correct.

I was referring to the pins/legs on the switch itself. Depending on which side your wrap the last pin/leg or direction dictates whether you increase your tunes turning the knob clock or counter clock wish.

That's how it is for the one's I've built.

Being you're talking ECM pins, yes they're different year to year; to be correct that is.
