dsp-5 switch problem

Took my dash cluster out friday and had to take the dsp-5 switch out for my efi live and when i put it back in the switch turns more than 5 times! anyone know what would be wrong with it?

did you make sure the knob is tight to the little shaft it connects to?

take the knob off and fix the washer with the flap on it! Somebody turned it too far and bent the tab that makes it a 5 pos switch!!!

Wait is there supposed to be two washers? Cause there was only one and it was flat

yeah there is a washer with a tang bent over into the face of the switch , if you get this tang out of adjustment it will turn more than its suppose to. Find this washer and put it back on the number 5 hole and it should go back to working
