I just got my EFI last week and installed some tunes from rob on my LLY and the LB7. I installed the DSP-5 switches in both trucks but I can't get the one on my LLY to work:confused: Rob made all the tunes for the LLY and sent the file to me with a E-mail saying if the switch was hooked up right all I had to do was a complete reflash with the file, and my switch should work. It does not and I checked my connections twice, Pin 32 & 50 on the grey ECM Plug... I figured I would try to get some info here sense I have been bugging Rob all week with questions. Thanks in advance...

i sent a text out and got this response back:
the switch connects to a different place on the ecm.. but if he got that right he needs to do a full flash to the ecm with efi and run the efi program as administrator. Theres also a certain order you create a dsp5 tune...

I dont have a clue what this means just trying to help n pass info

You can use the scan tool and log the dsp position, and move it so that it reflects a change in the log. If that checks out then I would make sure the full flash was successful/complete

easy way to see if its working is the modify the vane position table of a couple of the dsp tunes, top left corner over to 800 rpms and down to 30mm just make the percentage 20 instead of 88, you will hear a definite change in exhaust tone.

Another way is to throw a 35 in the TBIQ table of one tune at 600RPM, 0% throttle to give one tune a lope at idle. Some trucks don't like to lope but will raise the RPM when you are on that tune if the switch is working.

It should be in the bottom ECM connector.

If you have Windows Vista is the only time you have to right click and run EFI Live as an administrator for it to flash correctly.

Most of the time on an 05 you also have to remove these fuses in the under hood box to flash the TCM:
Radio

TBC Batt
TBC Ign

Of all the DSP5 switches I've installed I've never run into one that didn't work - and I couldn't count how many that is. Have helped guys troubleshoot them when they weren't hooked up right though.

Are you doing a "Full" reflash, which changes the OS?

Yes I was doing a full re-flash, but the problem was I ordered two switches, one for the LLY in my sig and another for the LB7. I never read anything about them having different pins:confused: Also The switches I got from Rob did not specify which one went to the lb7 and which one went to the LLY... Anyways I put the switches in the wrong trucks and also managed to break the LB7 pins trying to push them through the smaller LLY, ECM, harness:banghead: Rob sent me some new pins and all is well now:)
