so ive been meaning to ask this for a while but anyways due to wiring restrictions i had to put my probe in the more restrictive driver side manifold. would egts over there be hotter then on the pass side? i think mine reads just a little hotter then it should

after talking to a few people the drivers side actually flows close to the pass side. its just a little deceptive with the bump inwards. i have not looked at mine closely yet but will before it goes back on my motor.

I was wondering this too. When I had the shop put mine in I left them the instructions that said to put it on pass side and they put it on the drivers

I put the probe in the driver's side on my dad's truck because I've heard of more than one manifold cracking from being drilled and tapped for an EGT probe. I'm the type that likes to replace a defective stock part with an upgraded aftermarket part. I figure if the driver's side manifold ever cracks, it can be replaced with a BD manifold.

Anyway, all that to say I haven't seen his truck running unusually hot. I actually thought it seemed to run kind of cool.
