Driver side door was backed into about 2 years ago and i had to replace the door. I've been dealing with an air leak while driving on the freeway and it drives me crazy! The bushings seem fine and I can't feel any slack in the door. it seems to sag about a 1/4in how can I adjust it?

you can loosen the bolts on the cab and adjust the door that way. Have you checked your door seal to see if it needs to be replaced?

all of the rubber has been replaced and the door doesn't close easily it takes more effort then the others. I'll have to check that I didn't know it could be adjusted that way

If not that how long have the doors gone without grease/bearings at the hinges

A repair shop did the repair but I made the horrible mistake of not going through insurance because it was my wife's friend that hit it. Ive taken it back multiple times and have been told nothing is wrong with it

The door is off a wrecked truck I can see the color if I pull back the molding. I want to take it to another body shop but I cant afford it at the moment. If its possible I would like to make the adjustment myself. Are the cab mounts welded on? I cant tell if they are or not I only see two bolts that seem to attach to the fender.

Damn alright its just a pain in the ass to deal with. Every time I take it there they say its the weather stripping or that there is nothing wrong. I can clearly see that the door sags and it has new weather stripping. It's just very frustrating!

I know you mentioned that the problem is not with the hinges(pins/nuts) but if you do end up replacing them, do not use the cheap ones from places like NAPA or Autozone. I made that mistake and the problem got worse. Save yourself the time and effort and pay GM. Sucks but for some reason the aftermarket hasn't supplied quality pins and bushings.

Well I was incorrect about the the door it needs new bushings! When I went to check it and see if the bushings were bad I was pushing up in the wrong area. I pushed up on the top outside corner and there is tons of play in the door. Where is a good place to get gm replacement bushings?
