seat is stuck tilted all the way forward, the seat will slide front to back fine, and bottom of the seat will move up and down like its suppose to. ANY idea if its the switch or the motor gone out?
If the seat back went all the way forward I would assume the motor is good. Can you hear the motor trying to work if you hit the switch? Try cycling the switch multiple times and physically hitting the seat back. Sometimes when you get the seat track at one of it's hard stops it will sorta bind up the motor.
it went forward really slow, then made a clicking noise when it stopped. i have cylced the switch a bunch of times every different way, pulled on the seat and no i dont hear nothing when working the switch. I have also hit the motor some seeing if that woudl help but no luck
I have an LMM and underneath the driver's seat there are 3 motors which control the seat. My tilt feature for the front stopped working. I took the seat out and discovered that the front motor still worked but the gearbox is stripped.......so no worky. Cheap ass plastic gears had some broken teeth off of it. I talked to my maint. guy at my local chevy dealership and you have to buy the entire bottom portion of the seat, which houses the motors and gearboxes. It costs over $300.00. I just left it alone and am waiting to replace it.
thanks, well yesterday i unplugged the switch and plugged it back in and it didnt work. drove it down the road to go eat, something told me to try it and it started working again haha. i will make sure NOT to adjust seat again.
