I have two messages that I haven't figured out how to clear.
First is "Service Airbag" - is there something I can do to verify the airbag staus?
Second is "Change Engine Oil" - the oil has been changed and it needs to be reset for the next cycle.
Any help is appreciated.

You should be able to go to your engine oil screen and hold the check button until it resets.

At least that's how it is on my 07.

Let's tackle the easy one first: "Change Engine Oil". If you have the steering wheel controls, press the gas pump button until it shows "Oil Life: 0%". At this point, hold down the check mark button (bottom right button) for a few seconds, and it will say "Oil Life Reset".

If you don't have steering wheel controls, the procedure to reset the oil life is a bit stranger. Turn the key on, but don't start the motor. Fully press then release the throttle either 3 or 4 times (I forget, 4 should work in either case). The dash should then say "Oil Life Reset", and you're done.

As for the airbag message, you will need a good quality scan tool to read the codes off the air bag computer. GM's Tech2 can do it, EFILive FlashScan V2 can do it, and most high end shop scanners (SnapOn Modus, etc.) can do it. So unfortunately you're going to have to get access to a scanner, or pay a shop to diagnose it.

Depends on the year truck. 01-05 duramax trucks can have all codes pulled via the v2, but if you have an lbz, it will only read the high speed can bus for codes from my experience. Not sure on lmm's as I think everything is high speed on them where lbz's had both high speed can and j1850, and 05- only used j1850.

I did not know that. I've never actually run across a LBZ in a capacity where I got to mess with things. So I guess a Tech2 + CANdi is where it is at.

I've had good success with my V2 on LB7s, LLYs, and the various early LS motors, so I figured it could do them all. :baby:
