Allison 5sp: Drive Shafts

The older CCSB's like mine has a 2pc drive shaft. I noticed that the newer trucks (6 speeds) Have a single pc shaft. would it work in the older trucks? or are the trannies different lengths?

Its the same exact transmission externally, I would assume it would work.

mine is a 5 speed and mines a single..it should work tho
