This is after I welded it back together. Sorry no pics of it broken.

Upon inspection the factory wekd had poor tie in on the yoke. Well I fixed that;)

Looks good. How did you weld it? Did you weld it with the u-joint in place or did you remove it during welding?

mig,or tig? although it looks to be tig welds to me.
I was thinking it looked an awful lot like TIG welding myself, but I didn't want to make any assumptions. Either way it looks good.

I just hope you didn't melt the seals on the u-joint or burn the grease out if you welded with them installed.

It' looks like the factory u-joint!!!

Wolf.. Be sure to change that bad boy, the heat killed th eseals and grease!!!


BTW: Nice burn on those stacked dimes!!! I wish I could lay down beads like that!!!

I tig welded it. The joint didnt get hot.

The CMM showed me that I had it square.

I really need more practice with a TIG machine.

I don't want to step on your toes or anything, but did you make sure you got that joint in phase with the other end before you welded it on. I'd just hate to see this cause problems for you in the future.

Yes sir. Its just like it was only welded better.

Damage is more extensive than I thought!!!!

I kept getting drips on the driveway, turns out its trans fluid, the pan is cracked. Time for more welding damnit.

Look at the bright side. At least it's just the pan and not the case.
