Picture1 - Bad pic, this is the business end of a network cable. It has 4 pair of color coded wires for the 0-5v input to EFILive. I put a male blade connector on each solid wire which is POSITIVE, then a female on each striped wire which is negative.

Picture2 - This is a voltage divider circuit that we need to use to drop 12v down to 0-5v when using a variable resistor like the Summit Pressure Sender. The internet is a wonderful thing.

Picture3 - This is the network cable plugged into EFILive.

Picture4 - Top to bottom: Negative "medusa" ground wire to put ground to 4 sensors at one shot. Positive medusa to feed 12v to each sensor. A SPA sensor attachment, and it's brother.

Pat you said that is a summit oil pressure sending unit? is this something that you could get at the local parts store? I am guessing yes. if so does it have to be for a specific vehicle? Do you have a part number for the summit sending unit?

Thanks
Randy

It's a standard oil pressure sending unit that will go up to 100PSI.

Each brand can be different so you use an air compressor and gauge to make a calibration map for each kind of sendor.

Couple more pic:

Pic1 - Kat got me a notebook mount that attaches to the passenger front seat bolts.

Pic2 - Put in a 3rd seat so I can legal haul both kids around.

Picture of modifications to the PPE riser block to accept LMM EGT sensor, a 1/8 NPT and 1/4 NPT. Use a slight larger than suggested tap drill on the pipe threads (.01") because the alloy is TOUGH:

red = 10 + 0-5volts
black = 4 - ground

External input 1 = drive pressure

:nanawoot:It works! I can now log my drive pressure

the one small problom I have now is it just shows voltage
Do i build a new PID to voltage(EXT Input 1) = PSI:confused:

or do I need to modify the existing Calc PID?

As of right now it will show voltage on my EFI that is the same if i hook up the volt meter

Larry now i need to do some touch ups to the Calc PID

Next is to get logging through the EGR,then i will be able to log lift pump pressure and drive pressure....but the possibilities are now endless

are you still monitering drive pressure with a gauge as well :confused:

YES:) all i did was tie into the back of the autometer full sweep 0-100psi gauge on PIN# 10 and pin #4 then ran the wires to the V2 input#1 and then added the Calc Pid that i posted into EFI v7 user config

one more thing is if we used a EGT that is electric full sweep we should be able to log EGTs also
with only using one probe

when dale gets back on boxing day we will try this
