LB7: Drive pressure actuated wastegate?

I did a search and couldn't find anything on drive pressure actuated wastegates. I was wondering if anyone had used spring restriction on the factory LB7 turbo instead of the boost referenced actuator. TheBac told me to just run a PPE boost valve, and I might, but I wanted to have some discussion on this.

Also interested in this. I don't have a drive pressure gauge but The only issue I can see is temporary drive pressure spikes before the turbo spools popping the gate and causing even more lag. I'm tempted to try this if know body else has tried/tested it

I could see it being useful in different aftermarket setups but stock turbos really have no benefits in my own opinion.
