Have been making some decisions recently on things before I even start buying equipment for drag racing. I have made two decisions, first being I have chosen to run a Dmax as the powerplant and second S&W outta PA has a good price on a 200" wheelbase nostalgia FED chassis kit. Just letting people know I will be adding another diesel powered dragster to the landscape :D

Time to save & get some things done thats for sure :thumb:

Sorry Josh, I hadn't thought to check back here. But the answer is no.

The Duramax 6.6L is only 800 and some change weight wise. If you look at an all iron HEMI 426 elephant engine that weighed pretty much the same, THEN add the weight of the supercharger on top of that 800 some pounds wet and you are closer to about 1000lbs.

The progress I have made is the bank account growing slowly. Once I get my mini-truck done for asphalt oval my money (after bills of course) will be going 100% to the FED. I realized my 5 point belts I have are out of date so that adds to my bill even more. I would like to get the chassis certified for 650s once it is together.

Sorry I took so long to reply. I have more than one iron in the fire including a manifold for the Dmax FED.
