Drag tires

I have a set of 265/75/16 BGF all terrain tko's, two of them are worn even with just enough tread to race with and the other two need thrown away. Then Last night my cousin brought over four good tires ( same size make and model ) but they are load range D. Are these tires safe to race with even though are are a lower load range rating?

What's the weight rating? I had a set of bfg's that were load range D but they had the same weight rating as my E's. The D's were a lot smoother.
