The height is what got me interested in them. I haven't heard of anyone using them though either. What kind of backspacing reckon a person would have to run on something like this?

You will have problems with more than 6" backspace on the front, and 5" on the rear. Run as much backspace as you can on fronts to reduce toe-in on launch.

10.5" are probably going to need a minimum of 9" worth of rim.

Sounds like a good tire.

I wanted to go with something a little taller than a 28" for future use. I won't run out of tire yet but my plans later on I would with a 28".

They'll go on, but I'd be worried about the narrow wheel pulling the sidewalls in too much and shrinking the tread width too much. I'd want to go with a 10" wheel. I found a set of KMC XD wheels that are 16x10 and have 5.5" of backspacing; they're called Enduros. I'm not sure why Pat says you can't run more than 5.5" of backspacing. I think it has something to do with leaf spring interference, but they make the same wheel in a 4.5" backspacing you could run in the back.

The wheels that I ordered have a 4.5" backspace. American outlaw II 16x10 I just wondered if I could get by with some pyos

I wouldn't put a 12 inch wide tire on a 7 inch wide rim. I think that's how wide the PYO
s are? At any rate the PYO's aren't close to being wide enough. Your gonna pull the sidewall in towards the bead of tire so far the the tire will crown. Not what you wanna do.

I thought the PYOs were only 6.5 and the steel wheels were 7.
I think the steels come in 6.5" and 7" depending on if they came on a 2500 or SRW 3500 respectively. All PYOs are 6.5" as they didn't come on the 3500s.
