I have a 2015 stock lml. It has 4000 miles on it. I have never seen a regen message. I have been told by the dealer that it is probably doing light cleanings and not to be concerned. If that is the case they say I may not get a message. Does this make sense? I did get a add def at about 1600 miles. I put 3 gallon in it then. The dealer said it will probably give me the need def message at about 6000 miles. It is hard to get a definite answer. The book doesn't seem very clear about it.

It does it when it needs to. Do you want your truck producing that much soot?

I would have cut it out about 4000 miles ago.

There are no regen messages or lights. I garrantee your truck is regening, the def light will come on once the level gets to 30%, which is usually around 4 to 5 thousand miles. The reason you got the add def message early is bc the dealer didn't top it off fr you when you bought it...

Your nox sensors are bad. There is a recall on the 11's and 12's for this issue...

My '11 just went into it's 3rd Limp mode in the past week. I wasted $1k in repairs, hotel bills, rental cars and oil changes. So today when it went into limp mode I babied it back home from Tucson (100 miles away) and tonight I am ordering my Pure DPF Delete kit w/Tech T1 and will be doing the install this weekend.

I have been in the shop 6 times since last year with DEF, DPF issues and today was the last straw. Keeping the DEF filled up was the biggest thing that I did to make it last 249,000 miles.Don't wait for the dash to tell you to add fluid. It's as simple as adding a quart of oil. My problem is now a clogged catalyst and I am not about to spend the money to replace it with another one when I can spend the same amount and just delete it all together.

The delete looks pretty straight forward on YouTube.

XArmyMP,
I just ordered and installed my delete kit from Pure DPF Delete. It came in 2 boxes - 1 exhaust system and the other for the tuner/programmer. Very simple job especially if there are 2 people doing the work. It can be done in your driveway, but a lift is more preferred. A can of PB Blaster to spray down all of the nuts and sensors and they will all come off with ease.
