Got an email this afternoon looking for a few more pictures and more info on the truck. Looks like I'm on the fringe of making voting!

Are you planning on do any changes if you get picked?
Trans is getting rebuilt with all billet parts and an MLGK converter in January. True Trac is ready to be installed. And I might see about an HSP483 twin kit. But that will be budget dependant.

I don't want to change a ton. I know there is room for improvement but it seems like guys who make massive changes are the ones that end up with broken trucks on day 1. Half the battle is showing up to every event.

Id leave the performance parts alone. Run that Danville 72 and smile while watching everyone else try and spool up there big fixed turbos.

He said he was going to compound his 72mm with an 83mm so if he spools his 72 there shouldnt be much of a problem spooling his 83

^^^^^^you have got that right in my opinion a 700-800hp RELIABLE truck is the truck to have to win this thing

Exactly. 72 will stay in place and the 83 will feed her. I'll keep the nitrous in it just in case it needs help spooling but I think the 72 will do just fine!

My only concern is the thin air out in Denver. Truck did 700 on fuel and 851 on nitrous at sea leve. I'm thinking it will take twins to get me over 800hp out there.

Either way don't get a wild hair and try to put something else in the valley than a VGT. And the 83 will be good to. Will spool amazing with the 72. Same setup a buddy has that went to DPC last year but he had a 366 with a 480 and it wouldn't spool for crap. Now with the 72 and 483 this thing lights instantly.

Exactly my thoughts. Quick spooling with enough air to support 1000hp. Not that my truck will make that but with the thin air I can't imagine it hurting haha.

You should be able to get close. Mark made 1,095 with that setup, but with Brodix heads and 100 overs.

Curious how an s480 over my 72 would be? I know the more common setup is an 83 over 72 but I don't have the fuel to make the most of that setup. Would an 80 give me quicker spool and still make the same power since I am fuel limited?

Is Freedom Diesel going to do your trans build? just wondering where the K converter was coming from.

Chris Roderiqurs will be doing it. He built my motor and I trust he will get it done right. He has been in touch with Dave Goerend and will be in contact with him throughout the build. It's a risk but he has been very good to me and I have faith the tranny will be no different.

He is not on my list for the K converter. The K converter is limited production because of cores. He has bought 1 clutch kit and converter from Dave Goerend. He is not on Dave's high priority list nor mine as I have a dealer in that area and will not infringe on them.

I'd really like to run that converter and I have spoken with Evan about my situation. So what does that mean. Should I be looking for parts elsewhere?
