Diesel Power Challenge update thread

just got off the phone and so far we got a dmax in the top 3 for the drag race Maxpowerlb7 ( matt larson ) ran a 11.5* @ 12* mph . the best time was 11.0* but suposeedly he blew his head gasket and is out Jason( clabria669) ended up with a 12.7

they are moving on to the trailor tow next :happy2: man i wish i could have went i will keep this thread updated with info .

i entered.......... and so did my friend Matt Moon ( 800+ hp dmax ) he has been on 2 mag covers no one really seems to know what they look for in the guys they pick .

thanks a lot trent, ya they pick Chris Werner a 10 second truck? then they pick a stock turbo LBZ? doesn't really make any sense to me truck setup is basically thrown out the window when you have 500hp and your competitor has 1000hp

So I guess Beech Bend was at least a little forgiving and let them do the DPC racing aspects at their facility??


I agree with the others though, the "randomness" of picking trucks is heavily skewed to the goats favor. Or at least it has been the last few times.

Beech Bend also let a few Diesels race Saturday night at the TNT also.

well the trailor tow is finished and matt got bumped down to 4th but the guys that are ahead of him ran slower on the track so overall i think he is in 2nd or 3rd , dyno is up next and sled pull tomarrow .

At least there trucks are holding together :rofl: Matt drove his out there without a trailer to tow himself home with should be a good testimate for the dmax , he drove the truck he is competing with 1500 + miles and is looking like he will drive it home

How can it be a fair test when there is no rhyme or reason behind the chosing of different trucks?

Built motor vs. stock motor Dmax or no Dmax isnt a fair race period. Seems like DP can basically choose who they want to win.

Ran a 12.7, track is very slick, no hook, 5th or 6th in the trailer pull, everybody here is on a built motor.....

thats great he did well in the trailor tow , matt also said the track was waaay slick said he blew right through his tires in the trailor pull :rockon:
