DP back cut off for CAT?

If I were to buy say AFE part number 49-04001 DP back straight pipe kit, could I cut it and add the CAT back in at a later date if it was necessary? Would it line up?

What I'm wondering is does the kit follow the stock routing even though the CAT isn't there?

I found a way around the stupid Alaska shipping charges and this kit is less than $175 on Amazon.

You won't need that cat in Alaska. No emissions inspections here anymore. Even when they had them, the diesels were exempt.

Your stock exhaust can be removed without any cutting if your willing to do a little extra work. Then you can store it away for "someday". Maybe you're military, and may need the cat someday? Is that your concern? On the kits I've seen and installed, you would have a hard time reinstalling just the cat, and connecting it to the aftermarket exhaust. Better to save the entire system.

That was my concern. I know I don't need the cat in anchorage but when I PCS to Texas they do have inspections down there so I need the cat.

I'll just leave it alone for now. Thanks.
