Ok. I'm on stock fueling and I'm getting a little over 30 with mine. Vane position usually around 50-60 in most conditions. I'm just wondering if there's an issue with mine. Plus it's never had that insane whistle to it either. Maybe I'll contact ATP about the tuning and see what they say. Maybe they tuned it conservative.

If you have a bad boost leak, dirty ass filter, or map sensor isn't reading right you may not be hitting the desired boost # your tuner is calling for in the tune. Therefore the ecm will call for more vane position to try to meet that desired number. When that happens drive pressures go through the roof and there is a lot of power left on the table. Once you hit the desired number the vanes should start to open up because then the fuel won't need the help of the vanes to maintain the boost # the tune is calling for.

if the tuner played with the vane percentage table and not just desired boost table, his tune may not follow along with that.

X2 James, why I stated about the vane position table in my first post in the thread.

yup! but following your second explanation could be miss leading IF they played in that area. its doubtful as most dont want to take that time to make the tweaks and log there but ya never know! :D
