Just wondering if someone can tell me how to remove the rear interior door panel. Rear driver's side, crew cab, 05, GMC. Also has manual window crank, I've read about a tool but not sure what it looks like or how to use it.

There is a little clip that hold the crank on u can remove it with a pick or the tool just slides in from the back side. After that take the screws out of the door panel than pull up it should come off its than unhook the electrical connector for the door light. Hope this helps.

Found this from instructions from Go Parts:

Tools required:

  • 7mm socket/driver
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Torx Driver (small)
  • Needle-Nose Pliers

Step 1: Open the vehicle's door.

Step 2: Pry and remove the interior door lock's bezel.

Step 3: Pry and remove the trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting area.

Step 4: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.

Step 5: Pry and remove the retaining pin (1) near the door hinge.

Step 6: Remove the screw cover (1) near the door latch, exposing a Torx screw. Loosen and remove this screw.

Step 7: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) inside the interior door handle.

Step 8: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) inside the interior door pull.

Step 9: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (5) attached to the back of the door panel.

Step 10: To reattach the interior door panel, simply reverse the removal process.
