A freind gave me some billet handles for my truck ( thanks Ted )
these arenot the stick on putco but actual billet handles.

now I would like the other parts to be gloss black shiny and smooth

how do I go about doing this? Do I plastic primer and paint them or do I send them to a paint shop or can I buy these pieces?

you can scuff them good with a red scotch brite pad and shoot them urathane primer and paint them, or use plastic primer. either one should do the trick just depending on how much effort you want to put in to them.

I bought mine. Pretty sure they are onyx black escalade. They were complete, not sure if you can buy just the bucket? I want to match the tailgate handle as well. Anyone seen a smooth tailgate bezel?

OK Where are you getting these from? Dealer?

I found tons of textured but nothing smooth without the billet handles.

Grippen make some nice ones but i dont want to spend the money on the handles when i allready have them:(

You would probably be better off just smoothing and painting them yourself if you don't want to buy the handles as well.

When I got mine for my first 06' my friend at the dealer body shop ordered them for me, tailgate bezel too, but I think it wasn't that smooth like the doors, couldn't tell very easily

Picked mine up from E Bay. The 4 doors w/1 for the DS w KeyHole and also a Tail Gate. They came Painted Black, and the Chrome Plastic handle's. The Tailgate is also Smooth and the Bucket and Handle were painted. I switched out the plastic handles for billet no Problems were all in GM package w/ GM part #

I think ebay or gm parts direct has the best deals on them. But like already stated, just sand the stock ones with some light grit sand paper and do a few coats of high build primer, then paint and they should come out nice and smooth. I did my flares that way and they came out nice.

My only concern about this is how they would hold up over time, if you didn't have body shop spray them.

true, i used a hvlp gun not a spray can. I would never do anything on the exterior with a spray can.
