Donating Blood!

This usually isnt my type of post an I dont know if this is the right place for this or not but ill put it here anyway!

Some of the folks hereon the site are aware of my current battle with a pretty much life long blood disorder, usually i live totally normal but for the last 3 weeks ive been in the hospital with extreemly low blood counts and so on....

Anyhow in the last three weeks i have received about 45 units of blood. With out that blood there is no doubt i would not be here. Myself in day to day life even in my condition i honestly would never think of donating blood, i usually just have to much going on. So anyhow my point of this whole thread is to try and get some folks to donate where ever you are it may help some one, if it werent for atleast 45 folks in the pittsburgh area i probally woudent be here now. The hospitial closer to home couldent treat me due to the fact they couldent match my blood so that how im in pittsburgh. So if you can donate, im sure someone will appriciate it.

Donating Blood is the only one true thing you can give that doesn't cost anyone anything.

I tryed giving blood a couple of times. The nurse jacked up my arm and I have never been back. That was a couple of years ago. I will try again after hearing your story.

Im A+, Ive had some O+ and O- as i guess O will work on anyone. My problem is everytime you get blood it gets harder and harder to match due to all the antibodies each blood carries.

I think im one of the type that is most needed that alot odnt have o- or o+ not sure but I cant give with all the meds i take.Sorry to hear what your going thru hope all is getting better.:hug:

Im the same blood type calab. They can ship blood around it may not have just all been in pittsburg. I dontate on a regular bases also. Just cant go wrong doing it

You got a REALLY rare type there Larry....AB- is only found in .6 to .8% of the world's population.
