I like the idea, but wouldnt be hurt either way. I like the idea of learning about any other diesel, even if its a powerstroke, that way i atleast know what my buddies are talking about who own them. Cant ever have enough knowledge ;)

Should we add such a forum, everyone that posts YES should try and find some content to get it started.

I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt. Every now and then we do get threads that are "other diesel" specific, but they currently reside in Smoke Signals.

I'll also admit I'm not a big fan of boards with 200 different forum areas with 1/2 of them dead. They are harder to read. We used to have a 6.5 area, but then dissolved it since there wasn't enough interest.

I said no, only because I hated searching new posts on DP and getting stuff in all the other catagories show up... It's wasn't horrible just annoying

Although I think it would be very helpful for some members, myself included, I have to be a bit pessimistic...

Example- "Hey, does anyone know what would cause my Powerstroke to torch a head gasket?"

Response- "Cause they all are pieces of $hit, no one ever told you that?"

Hopefully I'm wrong, but this is my gut feeling:(

On the other hand, there are probably several current members who have some good info regarding the other brands...

Not sure about this just yet...

different forums-different trucks. maybe a link out of here to an "other" diesel forum from here. but i dont think it would make any better of this site.

but, several of our members here that own Duramax's own other VW Diesels. They should be able to discuss their "wifes/girlfirends" cars:D

but nick what if we had a section called other diesels an people could post links in there to other forums that mite be helpful to them.. Instead of cluttering up our site? That's just my suggestion?
