dmv question

[59 camaro]

im thinking about buying a fedex truck from new york, i live in los angeles ca.
would anyone have an idea (ballpark) of what would it cost to switch ny plates to california. anyone on here ever buy a car out of state that had a hard time doing this?
any help will help.... thanks

Would have to pass cali inspections and also pay the sales tax rate of what cali charges on the amount that is put on the title or bill of sale.

Check the vehicles GVWR. Cali may give you a hard time if you have to insure it as a commercial vehicle too..... unless that's your plan. Then it's no big deal
