Yeah nothing holds it in but two O rings once the the egr peice and upper manifold are romoved.

Nah. I just couldnt remember if I had undone any clamps holding it in. But I guess I didnt.

had a similar problem when i redid my piping lost the o rings a couple times till i figured out the prob but NAPA or Kragen has the o rings just about a buck a peace
yes your intake pipe has to be rock solid to keep from blowing that damm peice off.

Tig welder no o-rings again.then start welding new intake tube in place and add bends were needed.
