Let me start by saying I am very new to Diesels. Im an old school gear head that went from big blocks to LS and now need to make a pulling truck. Hence moving into the Diesel world. We are transplanting a D-max into a 60's C60. We plan on using it to haul with. I found an 08 retired ambulance with 200k on the ticker. Got it for a good deal so we went with it... then the learning curve started. After buying it I learned they are detuned and have a weaker transmission.

So we are now finally going to start installing into the new chassis. we removed the cutaway can and the engine looks alot different than a trucks engine.

Today I picked up a tcm, ecm, allison trans, and the trans harness from an 08 truck.

So what do I need to change on the van engine to make it function and look like a truck engine? I tried to get the engine harness as well but they wouldnt sell it but i notice some of the hose routing etc is also different.

Thanks in advance.

Now I think you need a trans cooler and radiator. The van thermostat housing works with a truck radiator.

The turbo mouthpiece and intercooler pipes are different. And the y bridge.

But inside they're the same. I believe you do need a truck harness and ecm though.
