Question: Disconnecting batteries

I have to disconnect my batteries to weld in my straight pipe...tried bandclaps, no luck.

Will disconnecting the batteries hurt anything in the tune...or the rest of the ecm/electrical system for that matter?

I just want to know what to expect.

no i disconnect mine all the time to work on stuff and its fine

just keep your welding ground as close to the working area as possible so no important components get fried :hug:

Thanks alot...thats good to know.

I'm not too experienced welding, but I need it done.

I planned to ground to the hanger that is welded onto the delete pipe...~ 2' from one splice and about 6" from the other...I'll still disconnect the batteries, better safe than sorry.
