what the hell happened? I thought this was like the odometer and could not be reset.

It's not uncommon. My truck has 152k miles and only 550ish hours showing haha. Works out to an average speed of almost 300 mph :rofl:

I had an 05' half ton that I took to the dealer to clear a ttcm code and it reset my hour meter

My hour meter has reset 2 or 3 times now. 188000km and 5 hrs.

Attempting to crank over the engine with near dead batteries will do the same thing. I tried to get the dealership to add the hours back and they refused, only way was to buy a new cluster and have them flash it.
