Hi Guys,

I'm actually running 11,8X with constant 1,61-1,68 60ft on street tires.

I just received my ranchos 9000xl so it might help a bit dropping the 60ft more but i am looking for some tires to get in the 1,5X range and improve overall ET.

Since i didnt found any PYO, i might buy pro comp 16x8 or 16x10 wheels.

Since they are wider than PYO, i have now a big range of choice like cheater slicks.

I'm hesitate between a combo of 16x10 with 30x14 cheater slick OR 16x8 with 28x11,50 cheater slick.

I'm trapping 113 mph actually and my main concern is that if i add a dual CP3 and get 116-120 mph trap, will those 28" inch tire will ran out of gear and have negative effect on the ET???

On the other hand, does the 16x10 rim with 30x14 cheater slick might be too wide and drain some power out?

I know that on stock cp3, the 28x11,50 will be more than ennough for my needs... But considering more power for next year, are they gonna be at their limit traction wise and trap speed/gearing?

Actual mods is : efi live, sdp twins, stock cp3, 45% nozzles, trans built, etc...

2wd or 4wd???

I'd go for the 30" ..... enough mph with those 3.73, and you will start running out rpm on the top. I dont think they'll generate too much drag, considering they'll still be lighter than most wheel/tire combos.

4wd...

Those 14" are still equivalent to 355 which is alot of surface if you dont need it...?

anyone else with 28" inch radial or cheater can give a input ?

127-128 mph on 5th gear? Wow whats your rpm?

Do you feel those 28" have a negative effect on your overall ET at that power level?

I would have look over a log to give you rpm. I do believe at some point gears would have to be changed to continue running the smaller tires.

Since you have alot more parts and HP then me, i guess i shouldn't worry about it since i only want to add dual fueler to my current setup...

if you could check rpm, it would be appreciated.

thank you,
