Is there ANY difference at all, between the blocks and heads from different year LB7's? (Just federal emissions models) I just want to make sure there is no differences and I can put an 01 motor into an 03.

Also, I am loosing coolant and i am getting condensation out of the exhaust. Looks like its going out the over flow when I am doing hard runs. Sounds like a head gasket right? (2003 LB7)

Yes, you can put a 01 in a 03 truck. You should not have a problem. The oil sending unit will be located in a different place but since you have the 03 you can relocate it to the current location. There will be a little difference in some bolt holes on the front passengers side but that will not cause a problem unless you run twin turbos.

Hmmmm...ok well i have a dumb question but what is the oil sending unit? Also, why would I not be able to run twins?

Off topic, but what are you running in your motor?

because the 2001 blocks for some reason are missing some of the passenger side mounting bosses on the block that the twins turbo brace mounts to.

I found this out because I was running a 2001 block.

What did you do? Are you able to make it work at all?

You will be able to fabricate the necessary brackets to run twins if you would like to run them. The oil pressure sending unit screws into the block on the drivers side. It is in a different location on the two models but is easily moved so your wiring harness will reconnect .

01's also have a a different intake y bridge setup. You will need to put your 03 y bridge in the 03. Also the MAP sensor is located in a different spot also, you will have to lengthen the wires to it or run the 03 intake manifolds. Also the Oil pressure sensor as stated above.

What are my options as far as a scored block? Its deep enough that it catches my finger nail when I scrape it.

Its almost impossible to say without inspecting it in person, in my own opinion. Your best/safest bet is to take the block to a machine shop and have them inspect it.

I figured so.

Can I run just one overbore piston? Or if I overbore one cylinder, do I need to do them all?

You cant just run one overbore. You could run a salvage sleeve if you are not planning on going wild with the build.

Over bore has no downsides other a little more displacement and the pistons are heavier
