I bought a set of heads that were suppose to come off an 06 LLY which will work on my LBZ. Before I go through the trouble of having them reworked I want to confirm that thay are definately 06+ heads. What should I look for to determin the model they came off of?

I would mic injector hole size, it posted on this site the difference and I think it was McRat that posted it. I'm sure others have better ways to tell though

Just checked them out, they are 476-1's so now the question of condition. The idiot layed bubble wrap in the bottom of a 3'X3' box, put the heads in with exhaust, intake and uppipe studs still in, put bubble wrap on top and taped the box shut. They slid, beat and banged around. Studs poked through the outside of the box in several places. What a moron! They dont look terrible to me, I'm going to get them to the machinest asap and have them checked. Thanks for the info guys!!!

I know the feeling
I got a turbo in a cardboard box once with crumpled newspaper in it. Needless to say the cardboard box didn't fair to well along with the turbo being a little bet up.

Same here... You're all excited to throw on your new to you turbo, and when you pick it up, the turbo is hanging out of the bottom of the box. Then you gotta spend time fixing the bent up compressor housing :(

I shiped a pair of heads a few weeks ago. I individually wraped them in thick cardboard then taped them together using allot of tape. Then Put them in a box and completely filled it with peanuts. Oh and I removed the studs before shiping.
