Hi, I'm new to the forum, new to diesels, and to EFI Live, but I'm familiar with McRat as I've been a Diesel Place member for a couple years. I've heard about EFI Live for some time but never looked into it. I heard that with EFI Live you can add a little more diesel sound to LBZ Dmax's, is that right, and can it be done without sacraficing something else like fuel economy or proformance? The reason I ask is, I've heard that late model Dmax's are as quiet as gas engines without much rattle, and I'd like atleast a little diesel sound when I get my first diesel soon.
Also on my current 6.0L gas truck (not sure yet if I'll keep it awhile, or trade in when I get my diesel), it's always been hard to run at low speeds (like in parking lots) because it tends to want to surge forward and take off too fast. It's pretty fast on the freeway (the rare times when there's not too much traffic in the way) and accelerates really fast. Could EFI Live help with it's low speed proformance too? Thanks!
