Diesel powered kit sports car

The guy that started Factory Five has decided to make a kit based around the mk4 Jetta/Golf TDI. Looks like they want the kit to be priced at $10k, that's a pretty cheap little zipper if you already own a TDI Jetta.

This car should come in at just over 2k lbs, and the 1.9TDI has been known to put out 200hp and 300 ft/lb with bolt-ons.

The Lotus Elise SC is about 2k lbs and has 220 hp with a whopping 165 ft/lb. C/D tested the lotus at 4.4 0-60 times. You guys can figure out what an extra 135 ft/lbs might be capable of in this car.

I didn't know till I looked at their website that their only 20 minutes from my house. Ill have to take a ride up there & check it out.

That's a cool little car, I was just thinking about their Cobra kit this week, add a 350 hp mustang 5.0 and it's a very quick little ride.
