Just wondering who built the 09 sierra in the new diesel power, and also if it really makes the claimed 1200HP. Regardless of either, the truck is super clean looking and the build looks sweet.

P.S.-Congrats Newly on the full article, and congrats to Mike for the multiple tuning mentions.

P.S.S. (or whatever)- Mike, was that your truck in the last issue making the pull in Lancaster?? If so, why did they feel it wasn't necessary to put whose truck it was?? What's up with that??

"What makes this truck so special? The twin-turbo Duramax race engine was built to produce 1,200 flywheel horsepower. At that power level, almost all of the stock hardware has been swapped out, including the stock turbo, rods, cam, heads, and injectors. The crowning jewel of the engine is definitely the PPE turbo kit, which included higher-flowing exhaust manifolds and up-pipes, and larger-diameter intake piping in addition to the twin Garrett turbochargers."

He is claiming 1200hp at the flywheel... which is possibly true

it has a huge twin setup... GT4202/GT55, IIRC Pat made 900+hp with more fuel availble. I wonder why we haven't heard of this truck yet?

And it's an estimate off a similar engine; not even his #'s. Impressive. More power to him, wish I had half the parts he has on that one.

i know PPE's GT4202/GT55 kit with plumbing is 10,000$ Guys heads are 4,000, Pistons from PPE are probably 2,500, Cam from Guy IIRC depending on which one is 700-1000$, machine and assembly is a several thousand as well. Probably say an easy 20,000$ in the motor + the turbos. PPE's V trans isn't cheap either... safe to say close to 40,000$

Sweet ride:thumb: Its odd theres no mention of sleeves/braces,center link, etc. Maybe to trivial to mention? I can't see trying to put that kind of power to the ground without 4wd?

I agree. What makes them special (beside the obviously bigger turbos than competitors kit). I've heard PPE is coming out with a twin kits for the public?
