DIC oil reading

What's going on everyone. I wasn't sure where to actually put this inquiry. I have an 07 LMM that has 108k miles.

Recently changed the oil in it. Reset the DIC for oil life however here we are 1700 miles later and it's saying that I'm at 0% already. Is this something I need to worry about? Something junking up my oil?

I typically go 3-5k between oil changes without issue in my other vehicles however this is my first diesel so I'm not 100% sure of the particulars with these engines (50k miles later. Haha)

Thanks

The DIC shouldn't drop to 0% for no reason, but that is way shorter than normal. You should be safe to wait and change it at 5k miles.

If it were me, I'd get a couple drops of oil off the dipstick and see if it smells burnt or has fuel in it (excessive regens can cause the Oil Life Monitor to shorten remaining life). If it doesn't seem right, just change it now. Oil is cheap.

Sounds good. Thanks guys.
I'll check the oil tonight DAVe.

Appreciate the responses. I was racking my brain wondering if there was some underlying issue. Other than this... I've had zero issues with it.

After I built my motor, the oil life meter would drop to zero in about 150 miles for the first 2 oil changes. Weird for sure. After those 2 oil changes it dropped to 0 after about 1000 miles and after that, it went back to normal.

Mine went from 60% to 0 in about 3 mins. Something reset when I changed my batteries. Id check the oil to be safe but just stick to your intervals.....should be fine unless you start finding shit in the oil.

OP, no sig
Is your truck stock with the DPF and all emissions, or tuned and modded?
At least one tuner on some LMM's the oil life drops quick like your explaining.
A DPF starting to go bad will also cause this problem.

Like mentioned in the above posts check your oil to see how it looks, and go by the mileage intervals you normally do if it looks good.

Sorry D_R_C.
Yes my truck is 100% stock as of right now with about 108k.
The DPF does seem to be going thru regen more here recently so that might be my issue.

The oil seems to be ok with no issues as of right now.
I'm definitely looking into a tuner, DPF and egr delete but unable to do right now.

Thanks for all the insight everyone.
