It was a fun time for sure,i finally got to meet up with some of the guys on this forum,Justin D ,Dale,Derrick,Chris, all really kool funny guys!
I ended up laying down 479.69 /858.44 wich im pretty happy with , maybe i will call Rob and see if he can make a few adjustments,But all in alll it was a great time ,we just need more duramax's around here !way too many Dodge ,and Ford trucks.

Not bad! Looks like you did a 5th gear pull by the mph?
Its funny you say that because when i thought i was already in 4th he told me i had one more gear to go, It was my first time ever on the dyno so i wasnt going to argue + i was a lil nervous for some reason..? so if it were in 4th would the number be higher or lower?:confused:

X2 needed to be in forth would've had higher numbers. Don't ask me what Dan did to mine on the dyno.. there was something hooked to my tcm then I think he had a tech 2 in the cab.

Goodtimes!!! :happy2: Had alot of fun too, can't wait to all get together again, yeah James only 03+ trucks have that OD lockout feature. I have a TCM tune that will hold 4th gear if you want to try that, everyone was running 5th lock up so you have a reading that is in line with everyone else from that day. Call Rob and get it tweaked you'll get that 500hp dyno sheet!!!!

you will see a higher number in a higher gear, not a higher number in a lower gear. people run 4th gear because it is a 1:1 ratio through the trans which means the only gear reduction left is the rear end gears. it gives what can be the closest number you will see for what the truck can make but if the dyno can not load the truck correctly, sometime a higher gear is needed. it just depends on the dyno and the operator. In all honesty, a track will tell you more of where your at than the dyno. either way 478hp is great! thats about where i was with a CP3 that couldnt hold more than 19k rail pressure.

With a Dyno Jet you need all the load you can get so the higher gear loads it more and lets you build more boost, but I bet you didn't see what you would normally see on the street for boost those dynos never do.
