My dad just bought a 2000 1500 Chevy. Nice looking truck, but the power mirrors dont work. Do the motors go bad in the mirrors? I checked the fuse and it was good. So now im thinking its the switch? Any ideas? Any tips to take door apart will be to get to the switch will be helpfull too. Thanks!!!! :D

are they plugged in? pop the door panels off and check. grab a 8mm socket and theres a little screw by the doorhandle, pop the doorlock slider off and theres another screw behind there. lift up on the panel and it's off.

Are the power extenders? or power folders? i know the extenders you just pull out and have someone hit the switch and then they start working again mine need a little help after they sit for awhile without moving.

Good luck

They are just power adjust on the mirror itself. They dont extend or anything. I'll try to move them while holding the switch in first. I'm assuming that they still are plugged in. But who knows when its a used vehicle.
