Dead injector pump??

After the turbo went on my buddy's LB7 he pulled over and shut the key off. The motor kept running for @ 3+ minutes at @2000 rpm from the oil being pumped through the motor. ? is will this kill the IP because the injectors aren't firing? Pump is returning 50+ ml of fuel in 15 sec and won't build over 800 psi of RP during cranking. This thing is starting to drive us nuts! lol:banging:

unplug the fprv on the cp3. That should make it default to full pressure. If it still won't go full pressure, the pump is likely a core now. You can also command full pressure at idle with a Tech II but I don't know how to do that.

U can do it with EFI LIVE also.

Tried unplugging. No change. When you use the tech II to command 160 mpa doesn't the truck have to be running to get the answer your looking for? Still learning here. How do you do it with efi?

Goto scantool, the tabs at the bottom of the tool bar, tab DVT F12, them go from their.

Not to derail, but sounds like he got lucky. A know of a guy that lost an A4k on his truck and it buried the tack for about 30 seconds . Trashed the valvetrain in the heads but the bottom end was reused with no issues.

Wow, I guess so. I'm gonna try to contact a bocsh tech and see what they have to say about the pump.
