Anyone have anything to report on these dashlogic OBD inputs for the dmax? I don't see it really being superior to efiLive or doing anything that efilive can't. Price isn't bad at $250 I guess. Only data logs as far as I can tell.
I've seen a few, there pretty cool and seem to work alright. They basically work like any other gauge that plugs into your ob2 port. Not as fancy smancy as a cts monitor but does similar things.
It's pretty simple, if you don't want to add any physical gauges this allows you to view everything through the DIC on your dash. I wouldn't compare this to EFILive in any way, the two don't have comparable features. EFILive will let you datalog and tune, Dashlogic let's you view sensor data in your instrument cluster.
I recently installed a Dashlogic module with the PLX SM-EGT module. So far I like it. Having the EGT's displayed in the DIC is really nice, as I did not want to add a gauge pod to the pillar or dash. Install was really simple for the Dashlogic. It's just plug-n-play. And the install on the EGT sensor and module was pretty simple. When I tried to add the EGT in the Dashlogic software it got a little tricky. But the guys at Palmer Performance Engineering were helpful with getting me the correct formula.
