Watch the last minute of this VIDEO and see Dale Calendar pull the freakin driver's side wheel clean off the ground the last 5 feet or so. How does this happen? Must be some intense suspension mods done to put up with that stress and be that rigid.

Just crazy. Impressive, but it leaves me bewildered. Especially for a "stock charger" truck. Definately a built engine at the very least though!

He pulls DHRA Work Stock and was points champion last year. It is rumored that he is the one with a modified stock charger simply because, as you can see, his truck runs like a raped ape! I have seen his truck get teched and it passes. I don't think the DHRA can enforce an inducer limit on the Work Stock class cause it just says stock appearing charger. Also, his truck smokes white at idle even on hot n humid summer nights and doesn't clear up after running a while (warmed up). Not sure what all is done but its not just bad injectors smoking. ;) He almost certainly has engine work done, I just don't know how much. Someone does though, and I'd be willing to bet someone on here knows simply because there are only a few places in the country to get certain pieces and I'd venture to say, he has them on that truck. I'd just like to know how his susp. is so dang rigid that it pulls a wheel. He has to have upward limiting straps on the front end. I know people say it causes bouncing but his don't bounce and that damn tire was off the ground. I don't know about you all but it takes quite a bit of jacking the truck up to get the tire off the ground on my truck and I can't imagine the frame was torquing that much to get that much lift to pull a wheel like he did.

Back to the charger... I only have heard of and confirmed one other Duramax that had a modified stock charger. It had a larger inducer wheel swapped in along with some housing work (eds04dmax on TDP). His truck also ran really for a "stock chargered" truck. You just couldn't run that charger in a 2.5 class like you see a lot of now because its a 2.6x" inducer "stock" charger IIRC. Otherwise, I'd have it. :D

Also, I have only seen him run front hanging weight one time and it wasn't much then. Like 3 or 4 suitcase weights. I know its a big truck, but I think he ahs hidden weight up front as well. That beast sits llllooooowwww before hookin and stays level (as seen) going down the track.

Simply impressive. He secretive as all get out though. Won't say much of anything about his setup. :(

Mitch that is deffantly a good show. But i pull my tires higher then that.

Your a short wheel base 2wd with weights in the bed. He is a long wheel base 4wd with front hanging weight. HUGE difference in leverage their.

I was thinking he had a modded charger last year. This year I pretty sure he has a built engine. I looked in the wheel well at Stoneboro and the engine was not painted black anymore. Like Mitch says. At Stoneboro this year it was 85 degrees and was hazing at idle all day.;)

That is a mean machine for sure.

I'd like to see him step up to a real 2.5 charger. He runs pretty good with the hot 2.5 charger truck(s) here (mostly Wesly Wade in his 06 Dodge) but does get beat regularly as well. I'd imagine with a bit more air, things could get ugly with his truck!

I watch Tractor trailers take off in LO-LO and watch the cab sway back and forth and thought that was cool. That video is just crazy!
