Finally talked dad into.getting his 03 lb7 out of the shed and bring it back to life. 3 years ago, truck had either injector failure, cup failure, or return line failure because the crankcase was filling with fuel and the truck smoked heavily. It what seems in a steak of bad luck the truck was t-boned by another 2500. Ever since then the truck had 3 oil changes on its way on home to keep from washing out the engine. The truck was put under a shed and left alone
Well got the truck out and cleaned off 3 years worth of dirt and dust and now he's ready to start on it. Anything to look out for?
My to-do list already consists of:
Draining coolant completely and flushing it out.
Add new water pump just for safety purposes and add all new coolant
Drain any fuel remaining in the fuel system while changing out Airdog filters and dropping the tank.
New batteries (duh)
Anything else to watch out for?
