Found a picture of them and the bowl design.

Interesting.

Got one without a tape measure in the way? I would like to see the center...

After cutting the lips on my pistons , I have noticed with big weight behind me on small tunes that on the botton end lugged down to 1800 on grades that I feel just a hair less botton end .

I might be crazy , but I would guess this is the lip missing and combustion not being as good on low end .

Thoughts ??

I agree Johnny...my stock LBZ short block feels a fair bit zippier around town than my built engine did with de-lipped pistons. Of course it could also be the refreshed converter as well..but even when locked up in tow/haul mode and I lug the engine down and roll into it, it starts pulling a lot harder faster than it did before with the de-lipped pistons. Turbos spool faster at a lower RPM as well. JMO going from a built lowered CR engine back to a stock one. :)

Which would mean, to me anyways, that your tune could use some adjustment to either the pulsewidth or timing or both in that RPM range so that the fuel shot is concentrated on being in the bowl rather than too much before or after TDC and spraying the tops decreasing the mixture quality in the cylinder????

Some better tuning is coming in the future . Working on that . Everytime I get enough for the full EFI set-up , I break something important . :D
