I would like to mount my DSP5 switch there if there is a plate i can get to cover the hole? Does anyone know if there is such a piece?

Make your own: Cut a piece of thin aluminum to fit in the back of the hole and glue it in. Thats what i did for elocker switch for our pulling tk.
x2 on making one it's real easy. I made one to mount a gauge in took about 20 mins and looks great.
I am going to ga ahead and agree with the others. Make it yourself! Probably the only way you will be happy about it.
They make a factory cover for that hole. Search ebay till you find a truck with it in your interior color and use that VIN at GM to look up the part. I used to have a cove with airbag keyswitch but I switched to the cubby hole.
Ive seen some guys mount their switch in the asytry then they can hide it just by fliping it closed
I know a guy that replaced his cig lighter in his console with the DSP5 switch and used the rubber lighter knob as the switch knob. Cant even tell that it was changed.
I thought I read somewhere that you can't mount it in the ashtray on the obs trucks. How would I mount it where the lighter plug is? Does anyone have pics of how they did it? I can find pics of it done but nothing showing how it's done.
Is the plate that the airbag switch is in all one piece or is it a couple pieces? I'd like to have the plate that the PPE high idle switch is mounted in but with no switches or anything mounted in it yet.

Shipping on that is more than the part is worth. Is that the same setup as it would be from factory? I'm thinking i might go to the wreckers today and check it out.
